Maggie & Reza

Maggie is my sister, so photographing her engagement carried a meaning unlike any other session. I have watched her move through every chapter of life, and seeing her find Reza—one of the kindest and most genuine people I know—made preserving this moment especially personal.

We photographed their engagement at a local park on a freezing, incredibly windy day. The conditions were far from comfortable, but Maggie and Reza handled them with warmth, humor, and complete ease together. Between gusts of wind and attempts to stay warm, their connection remained the strongest part of every frame.

The cold gave the photographs an honesty of their own. Hair moved freely, coats were pulled tighter, and many of the best moments came from them laughing through the experience and naturally reaching for one another. Rather than working against the weather, we allowed it to become part of the story.

These photographs preserve my sister standing beside someone who treats her with patience, generosity, and genuine love. More than an engagement session, they document the beginning of a new family and the happiness of knowing she found someone truly deserving of sharing her life.
