MVSTERCAMP
MVSTERCAMP began in 2022 as a free artist-development bootcamp created by Muhammad “Mvstermind” Austin to give musicians access to the resources that talent alone cannot guarantee: rehearsal space, performance coaching, industry knowledge, professional relationships, and a community committed to collective growth. The original program combined practical education in stage presence, live-show preparation, marketing, and industry standards with dedicated rehearsal opportunities and a pathway for participating artists to perform at Music at the Intersection.
What began as an annual bootcamp has grown into a broader music-focused creative-enrichment platform. Through programs and experiences such as Mastering the Secrets of the Game, Open Aux, MIDI, Creative Industries, and Music at the Intersection, MVSTERCAMP creates space for artists to learn the business, test unfinished ideas, exchange honest feedback, meet collaborators, understand ownership, and experience music as both an art form and an entrepreneurial practice. Its mission is direct but expansive: make space, tools, resources, and knowledge accessible through community.
The impact of that mission is tangible. MVSTERCAMP reports having incubated 95 artists, while more than $150,000 has been awarded to alumni through Regional Arts Commission grants supporting their own creative projects. Partnerships with organizations including the Regional Arts Commission, Kranzberg Arts Foundation, STLMADE, 4 Hands Brewing Company, and Red Bull have helped transform local access into meaningful opportunities for artists working to move their careers forward.
MVSTERCAMP is more than a collection of classes, performances, or events. It is an evolving piece of creative infrastructure—built in St. Louis, responsive to the needs of its artists, and rooted in the belief that knowledge and opportunity become more powerful when they are shared. It gives creatives room not only to sharpen their work, but to recognize that they do not have to build their futures alone.
