Graduation
Graduation marks the end of a chapter that often took years to complete and the beginning of one that has not yet been written. Behind every cap, gown, diploma, and celebration is a much larger story of persistence, change, uncertainty, sacrifice, and growth.
My approach is to photograph more than the traditional milestone. The expected portraits matter, but so do the details surrounding them—the familiar campus, the people who helped make the journey possible, the relief of finally reaching the finish line, and the excitement of standing at the edge of whatever comes next.
Some graduates arrive knowing exactly where they are headed. Others are still discovering what the future might hold. In either case, the photographs preserve a brief moment when years of work become visible and an entire life seems to open in front of them.
This collection brings together graduates from different schools, ages, and stages of life. Although every journey is unique, each one carries the same sense of transition: pride in what has been completed and possibility in everything still to come.
