The Faces
A face can hold more than appearance. It carries history, personality, relationships, uncertainty, confidence, joy, and the quiet evidence of everything a person has lived through. Sometimes that story is revealed through direct eye contact. Other times, it appears in a gesture, a glance away from the camera, or the way someone settles into a familiar place.
My approach to portraiture begins with trust. Rather than forcing every person into the same pose or visual formula, I try to create enough space for something honest to surface. Some photographs are carefully directed, while others are discovered between the planned moments. In both, the goal remains the same: to preserve something recognizable about the person—not simply what they looked like, but what their presence felt like.
Over the years, I have photographed artists, friends, family members, couples, graduates, strangers, and people whose lives I have had the privilege of documenting across entire chapters of time. Some images celebrate major milestones. Others preserve ordinary moments that only reveal their importance later.
Together, these photographs form an evolving human archive—a collection shaped by connection, curiosity, and the belief that every person carries a story worth remembering.
