Sculpture asks an idea to occupy real space. It must be considered from every side—through its weight, balance, structure, texture, and the relationship it creates with the room around it.
Working three-dimensionally changed the way I understood form. Instead of composing within the boundaries of a photograph or sheet of paper, I had to build outward, allowing materials to be cut, joined, layered, shaped, and reconsidered as the object developed.
I am drawn to the visible evidence of construction: surfaces that carry marks, connections that reveal how forms meet, and imperfections that show the decisions made along the way. The process often begins with a plan, but the material usually introduces another direction.
This collection brings together sculptural work created through experimentation, problem-solving, and physical interaction with material. Each piece reflects the movement between an imagined form and the object that ultimately emerged through making.
